Ummm hi I guess,

I think I owe you a huge apology for being so MIA recently. To say a lot has been going on would be the understatement of the century. I’m not gonna lie guys, I’ve been feeling really down recently and I’ve started self harming again, which really should not be the road I’m going down, but sometimes it’s hard, ya know. I mean life is just really hard. Anyway, I should really get back into this, so pleaseeeeee someone comment what you want me to do a post on. It can be anything, I just need to get back into this again to get my mind off everything else. On a different note, I really wanna start a youtube channel. Like badly, but I just feel like no-one would watch it…

Goodbye 2016…

Fam, I thought I’d do a quick bye 2016 type gig for y’all.
2016 was an excruciatingly hard year for me. Like ridiculous. First of all, my parents started dating different people which is officially one of the strangest things that I will ever experience. I’m ngl, it’s hella uncomfortable, and also my mum’s partner has children my age, so it’s kinda hard to struggle with dealing with almost a replica of our family. I just wanna say for anyone out there going through a similar thing, I’m told that there is light at the end of the tunnel, I’m yet to experience it yet, but I’ve been promised it is there, so let’s try and reach it together.
Seriously though, if anyone wants any questions of advice(not that I am qualified to give it), just leave it in the comments and I’ll reply. Similarly, if anyone has any advice to give me, lemme know because someone let a really sweet comment on one of my posts about divorce a while back and it honestly made me feel ten times better.
Another thing that I have struggled with this year is sadness and depression. I dealt with….. actually no, this is meant to be a cheery post, I’ll do another much more depressing one later talking about my struggles, but for the moment, let’s keep it relatively PG.
One of the big things that happened was my sister, my beautiful fabulous amazing sister, got into her top university, and being the clever clogs that she is, I wasn’t at all surprised. The tricky thing about that for me was that the university she got into is in Canada. I currently reside in England, so things are going to become extremely difficult, she’s one of my best friends so to deal with her moving so far away will require a lot of adjustment.
Anyway, that brings me onto my last topic-friends. Now, I am blessed to have an amazing group of friends-no not friends, family. I spend twelve hours at my school everyday, so yes, thy are my family. My best friend is an absolute legend, in every sense of the word. She is funny and has an amazing soul and is just a joy to be around. She knows so much about me and I know so much about her. However, I don’t know EVERYthing about her, an she doesn’t know EVERYthing about me, and I used to find that a bad thing, but now I’m beginning to realise that (after all 2016 was the year for realising things :D) I don’t need someone to know every single detail in my life to be there for me or be close to me, but they just need to know enough to understand and not feel burdened. However, one thing I struggle with is that she has a lot of super close friends online which she has met in various places. I struggle because at some points in my life I feel she would rather be with them than she would with me, as she tells me all the time how amazing they are and how much she misses them, but she never says stuff like that to me….does anyone know how to deal with stuff like that. As well as my best friend, I have loads of other amazing people in my life who I am lucky enough to call my friends. So here is my advice-make a friend. Talk to the person serving you at waitress, or cha to the person waiting in the queue to get a coffee, just take the step and do it, you never know where it may lead, and hey, what’s the worst that could happen.
Anyway, let’s wrap this up, 2k16 as good, but I’m hella pumped to see what 2k17 holds. And jus remember folks, your vibe attracts your tribe. Also please leave me a follow and like, cause I want everyone to be in my tribe. Love Ax

Trend Alert!

Ok folks, can we please pause for a minute and consider where we are at this point. I understood contouring, chiseling those cheekbones and snatchin that jawline. I kinda got draping for those days when you just want to look a little more “rosy”, but glitter brows, I do not understand. PLEASE someone explain them to me in the comments. Because a) How do you choose the colour, like your root colour or a nice pastel pink or baby blue or what?!? b) ow do you get the glitter to stick c) how do you get the damn glitter out of yo eyebrow!

Ngl, this fascinating trend did kinda interest me so I watched a couple tutorials and did my research. My favourite “glitter brows” was a beauty guru just going over a few hairs in her brow with a glitter line, for example urban decay, heavy metal, which was nice as it gave the eyebrow a kinda highlight and it really worked.

However, on the other end of the spectrum, one young lady used eyelash glue and a S*** TON of magenta-pink glitter to do them. Like what! how much effort must that be to take off?!? Like seriously ladies, what is going on here. I can’t be bothered enough to go to the fridge and grab food to fuel my shell of a useless human bean, (not a typo, but if you understand the reference, lemme know) let alone sit at my dilapidated vanity for hours painstakingly applying glitter to my brow hairs, to then take 39.402 hours to take it off later.
On a bit of a tangent, and guys reading this, have you been aware of the glitter beard trend. Like wow, I’m hoping these were trends which we left behind to the chaos and ruin of 2016….

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

Ok ngl, I am kinda hella attached to this product. It is amazing, legit, one of the best makeup finds that I have ever discovered. That is the Kiko cream crush lasting colour eyeshadow. Now despite the long-ass name, this product is super affordable, at £4.80 a pop.

So, in addition to the super low price tag, this is a hella big pot. You need barely any product each time you use it, so it’s very cost-efficient. I have this gorgeous rose-gold shimmer shade (p.s. sorry for the lack of personal photos, my stupid camera isn’t working), but there are also matte shades, and some that are more fleshed-toned, so that they can be used as a natural eyeshadow base.

The actually consistency is pretty creamy, and is very easy to apply. I personally apply it with my finger , as that concentrates the sparkly pigment of my shade (number 5), but also works wonderfully when applied with a brush.

Anyway, at the end of the day, however you apply this amazing product, it is totally worth the purchase, and also if you enjoyed this pathetically snazzy article, please follow my blog and gimme a like. I hope that y’all have an amazing day!

L’Oreal Lucent Magique BB Cream Review

Hello again, so I was kindly gifted this BB cream from L’oreal, and so I was sups excited to see what it had to offer.I initially looked and saw that it had no shade on it, and so I didn’t really know what to think.

It is quite a light texture, close to that of which a low-coverage foundation has. I dotted it on my hand, and saw that it was pale, and not at all what I was expecting. I began to blend it out, and I saw a little coverage, but not huge amounts. 

However, when I applied it to my face, that was a different story. I put it on, and  it disappeared into nothingness. After applying more, it just made me look pale and washed out.

I have therefore come to use this as more of a luminous primer rather than a BB cream, as I think  it really has NO COVERAGE. It does have a great luminosity about it, but doesn’t cover ANYTHING. So, that was a bit of a let down, but I feel that with beauty products, if they don’t work one way, try them several other ways, and try and find a solution that hopefully does not mean throwing the entire product (and your money) down the drain.

Maybelline Anti-Age Concealer Review

Hello again, so today, I am talking about concealer. Now, I am a concealer JUNKIE. I legit cannot get enough of them, and so, when my friend gave this to me, I was super excited.

Now, this concealer from maybelline has been EXTREMELY hyped, like I think that the man on the moon has heard about this concealer.

So this concealer is meant to take years off you, and as I am only 15, I’m not sure I really need the “age rewind”capabilities, but anywho, I’ll take it if it’s given.

So, the actual concealer is quite good, I would probably say it’s medium coverage, but I don’t think that it completely hides dark circles, which, for me is actually really annoying, because that’s the main thing I want from a concealer. For on-the-spot concealing it’s not the best, but the formula is not that bad. 

My least favorite part of the concealer is the applicator. Now, in theory, this is probably a great applicator because it replicates a beauty sponge BUT, its actually super uncomfortable. The way that the product gets into the sponge is via a tube. Now, when you apply the concealer onto your face, you feel the hard tube, so it feels like someone is constantly prodding you in your face and it can get really uncomfortable. Now, I also don’t think the sponge works very well, because despite the sponge, you still need to blend with your fingers, which kind of defeats the point of it.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara Review

Well hello again, I know what you’re thinking ‘oh, she’s being awfully consistent in her posting! No, I just have half term, and so, amongst the mock revision, I’m managing to post a little. Anywhoooo, now onto the product. This is a cult product from Benefit, a company in which I love very much. This mascara is very good on the whole, but it does have its faults. 

The mascara does not have a particularly huge wand, but the wand is extremely easy to apply product with , and if you are like me and you apply mascara with the same hand on each eye, then this type of wand is perfect. The mascara, like many mascaras, does dry out relatively quickly though. It is a very black and does not require many coats in order to get thick, voluptuous lashes. I do however, not think that it is worth the rather large price tag, and I would probably try other mascaras before repurchasing, but it is definitely a good mascara, which I know will always work.

Benefit Pore-fessional Primer

Well hello again everybody, I am back at it again with some more reviews, starting of with the benefit primer. Now I love this stuff, but there are some funny things about it which some should definitely know before dishing out the 20 odd pounds on it.

Now, this primer does seriously work in reducing the size of pores on your face, which means that it will naturally make your makeup apply slightly more easily. It has a very siliconey feel, which I personally adore, but it is down to personal preference. Also, I do think that it makes my makeup last longer and does give a matte look to the face.

Even though it is tinted, it doesn’t provide any coverage whatsover, so don’t let that illusion you, but overall I actually really like this I don’t know If I will buy it again when it runs out, but I see that it could be extremely helpful for people with oily skin. Sephora Concealer Review

May I just say hello everybody, I’ve been a bit MIA recently, but you know how it is, family drama!!! Anywho, lets get back to reviews because we all like a good bit of makeup. The product that I will be reviewing this time is Sephora concealer which is actually a rather large dealio for me, as I am british, and therefore do not have regular access to a Sephora, but I bought a few things the last time I was over there, and so I thought I would review this productNow I accidently bought the wrong shade, which is SUCH A BUMMER, but hey-ho, you live and learn. Anywaysssss, I actually really like the formula. This concealer is one of Sephora’s bestsellers and I really see why. It is really easy to blend with a beauty sponge, or with your fingers, which means it’s great for use on the move. It’s actually got really good high coverage, and so I love it for that. It can be blended out seriously easily, and so it is great just to wear by itself, so I really like it for that. It didn’t clog my pores at all, and I really liked the gel-like consistency. My one negative is that it did start to crease towards the end, and so I would say that baking this and setting it with a regular powder, or a yellow-toned one if you want to be totes professional is the way to go. Also, I have a really great hack for setting my makeup, and if you would like me to do a blog post on it, I can totally do that. Uses for Everday Products

Vaseline is a widely owned product, but I was surprised, and I think that you will be too, about the numerous uses that it has. 

1. It will make eyelashes and eyebrows grow. What I do, is it put Vaseline on my eyelashes every night with a spooly or my finger, and when I wake up, my eyelashes are much more conditioned, and after a few weeks, they will be noticeably longer. 
2. Mix your Vaseline with any pigment or loose powder to create a shimmering lipstick of liquid eyeshadow. I have tried this a few times and actually really liked it. If you are using it as lipstick, use more Vaseline, and if you are using it as eyeshadow, use less. 
3. Vaseline can be used as a body moisturiser, as when your body is in dire need moisture, Vaseline actually does the job really well. Put it on at night and put some loose trousers over the top, to ensure none of the Vaseline goes on your bedsheets, and you will wake up with beautifully moisturised legs. 
4. Another tip is to apply Vaseline under you’re highlight, as this makes it last longer and also makes it really pop. 
5. Finally, you can mix Vaseline with granulated sugar to create a body and lip scrub. Use it to gently exfoliate your lips before applying a lip product.
