Hey Again

Ummm hi I guess,

I think I owe you a huge apology for being so MIA recently. To say a lot has been going on would be the understatement of the century. I’m not gonna lie guys, I’ve been feeling really down recently and I’ve started self harming again, which really should not be the road I’m going down, but sometimes it’s hard, ya know. I mean life is just really hard. Anyway, I should really get back into this, so pleaseeeeee someone comment what you want me to do a post on. It can be anything, I just need to get back into this again to get my mind off everything else. On a different note, I really wanna start a youtube channel. Like badly, but I just feel like no-one would watch it…

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

So, today I am going to talk about another collection product! And this is the collection eyebrow kit, which includes clear eyebrow gel and two different eyebrow shadows.
Now I usually don’t do my eyebrows, because they are really quite thick as they are, but towards the outer edge of my brow, they get quite sparse. I tried the brow kit in three ways, first just the gel, then just the shadow, then the shadow with the gel.
Now, I clear brow gel really worries me, as I think that it can sometimes make my brows look extremely set and hardened and I’m not a huge fan of that look, but I actually really liked this brow gel, as it set my brows which prevented them from going wild all day, and it actually looked quite natural, and I use the gel almost everyday. collection brow kit.jpg
The actual shadows are very good in consistency and are relatively blendable when you comb through them with a spooly. My only negative about these shadows is that they don’t come in a huge variety of colours. The dark kit has two blacks and a brown, which is actually relatively light, and so I have to mix the two colours together, which can be relatively tricky to do.
The best way that I have found to use this kit though, is to use a little of the shadows and then set it with the brow, and this gives a really natural and gorgeous look. I also use eye bright by benefit, and if anyone wants me to do a review on that, let me know in the comments.
I really like the consistency of the shadows, as they are really quite buttery and creamy. They are also highly pigmented, and I think that for the price tag of £2.50, this is a great kit if you are just straying out in makeup, or you’ve been doing your brows for a while, this is still a great kit! Also, can I just say that uploading my photos wasn’t working, and so for the moment, I’m going to insert some internet pictures, but later on, I’m going to try and upload them again, so if you’re seeing bad, amateur photos, you will know I have succeeded.

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

So, I know that this is becoming quite a common instalment in my blog, but everybody seems to like them, so I’m doing another one.

This one, however is slightly different, as it is my first cheap lipstick review….I think…..is it?……never mind, you can never have enough makeup! So, whilst I was looking at the collection counter for my concealer, which I featured in my last post.dsc_0415

Now I am a MAJOR nude girl. In my lipstick I mean. My lipstick. But, anyway,I have found it really hard to find that perfect affordable nude, as my current favourite is Japanese Maple from Mac, which is £15, and let’s be real, I do not want to be spending that much on all my lipstick my entire life.DSC_0422.JPG

So, I stumbled upon this lipstick at the collection counter and I’m in love. Its called Deluxe and is a really gorgeous nude with a sort of sheeny finish. It is extremely creamy, but does require a few coats to build up a relatively opaque amount of pigment.

I do, however still really like this lipstick, and I will definitely be buying more of. I know this has been super short, but huge story, tiny, I love these and if you don’t own one…. WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE! Anyways, if you enjoyed this, please give it a thumbs up, and follow my blog, and I will see you all next time! Loving You!!!!!!DSC_0416.JPG

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

So I am a huge fan of Zoella, and if you watch her videos and not you will know that she raves about a certain concealer. This concealer is called collection lasting perfection and I saw it in boots the other day, and thought I would pick it up and give you guys a review.

The concealer was around £4.50 which is very good and I recommend you use it below the eyes. It has a very thick formula and claims to be high coverage and last for 16hrs, and so I put it to the test for you guys. dsc_0410

It applies and blends out very easily and is extremely creamy and pigmented. It only comes in four shades though, so it’s not extremely adaptable for every single person. Now, I have HUGE under eye bags, so I need some good strong stuff to cover up my extreme lack of sleep, and so this is asking quite a lot for my concealer. I applied it under my eyes and blended it in with a beauty blender on one side, and a brush on the other. It works extremely well both ways and I myself am more of a fan of stippling something in, so I personally will stipple it in when I’m using this concealer. I was really impressed how amazingly it covered up my purple under-eye circles, so I highly recommend it if you are someone like me who has bad under-eye circles.dsc_0411

I checked back in the mirror after about four hours and it was really great and so I then checked again about 2 1/2 hours later and it’s still holding up. After about 10 hours and it was doing amazingly and I didn’t need to touch up all day. I think that this concealer is great for under the eyes as it is also quite bright, but I wouldn’t say it’s great on spots as it would be too brightening and therefore be unnatural.

In conclusion, if you’re a big fan of high coverage concealers that can be worn by themselves or with the foundation, I think this is a great product for you. I also love the fact that it was so long wearing and it is such an affordable and widely available product. If you guys enjoyed this blog post please like it and follow my blog! Testing Cheap Makeup

Hello everybody, I am continuing this little series with another amazon product, because you guys seem to like this little series. So, this palate I received from a friend a while ago, and haven’t actually used that much, because I am not a huge bright eyeshadow type girl, I much prefer rose gold, copper and brown eyeshadows, but I thought I would give it a go for the blog.dsc_0365

So, all of these eyeshadows look extremely sparkly in the palate, so I wanted to see that if I swatched them, they would be as sparkly as they look. there is one row that I really love, because they are colours that I think are very wearable for me personally, and yes, in that photo, I did lay on the grass and zoom in from 10 feet away, and my neighbours think I’m even more of an idiot than they thought before, but, you know, anything for you guys! DSC_0376.JPG

So, as you can see, all of the shadows in this row are sort of a rose gold, coppery toned shadow, and I really like them. Most of the shadows in this palate are shimmery, but there are a few matte shadows too, to really help you complete a similar look, and to get 120 eyeshadows for £6.99 is extremely affordable. The amount of product in each pan is relatively small, but if you are someone who really likes experimenting with different shades, then I would highly recommend this palate.

DSC_0374.JPG

The actual consistency of this palate is very smooth, buttery and creamy, but some shades do have a rather lot of powder kickback, but when I used it with my Mac Paint Pot, there was very little fall out, and it lasted me all day.

In conclusion, this isn’t a great palate if your someone who only uses a lot of a certain shade, but if you are into trying out loads of different shades, then this is certainely a palate for you. If you enjoyed this review, please follow my blog and like this post, and of couse, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments! Loving you!!

Bella Piere Eyeshadow Stack Review

I have wanted to do a review on this product for a while, as I feel it is quite a interesting product, which is not extremely cheap. I don’t own many products from Bella Pierre, but after this experience, I will probably buy more. dsc_0357There are 9 eyeshadows in this stack and they are all varying shades of shimmering pigment. There is a relatively good amount of Product in each of the pots, and most of them are gorgeous, wearable shades. The stack price is £49, which is quite a lot for an eyeshadow stack, I do, however think it’s gonna last a long time. The packaging itself I was disappointed in, because it was very cheap-feeling. dsc_0356The eyeshadows last a relatively long time, but I do have to use a primer to make sure that the shadow doesn’t fall out across the day. They blend relatively easily, and I definitely like the shimmery effect that they leave, but there are two things that I do not like about this product. The first thing is that it is relatively hard to pick up the perfect amount of product, as you either pick up too much or too little, which is very annoying. Also, it is very hard to travel with these, as you need to be very still whilst opening these to avoid spilling the entire product, as there is no sifter. Also, you cannot take any single pots with you, as there is only one lid to top the entire set, so if you split into two, or take a pot or two with you in a mini stack, there isn’t enough kids for the two stacks. dsc_0355Well, that’s it from me, and if you enjoyed this review, please follow my blog, and like this post, and I will see you all next time! Cheap Kiko Lipstick Review

DSC_0359.JPG

So I actually really love kiko as a makeup brand,  as it is all really affordable, yet some of the products are really great quality and are a really nice staple in my makeup kit.

So today, I will be reviewing the kiko smart lipsticks, which retail at £3.90, which is dirt cheap as far as lipsticks go. I have only one of these, as I wanted to try them before purchasing the whole range of them, and I would definitely be buying more. They come in a huge variety of shades, and would suit every skin tone.

kiko-lipstickkiko-swatch

The pigmentation of the lipsticks is very buildable, but one layer leaves a ice, shiny, sheer sheen on your lips. The packaging does not actually feel extremely cheap, and I really like the sleek matte black. You get a good amount of product for the price, and they are so super creamy, and the texture is similar to that of a mac lipstick. It also has a really pleasant smell, I really enjoy using them. I know this was a really short review, but long story short, these are super good and I highly recommend them . If you enjoyed this please follow my blog and like this page, and I will speak to you later!!! Loving you!!!!

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

So, I have decided to continue this mini series by trying out some different brands of makeup. Today, we are trying out a concealer palate from amazon.

Initially, I saw this and thought, hmmmm if this works, it will be super amazing, so, naturally, I bought it!

It took 27 days to arrive, which is an extremely long time, in my opinion, but I didn’t mind because it was a £2.50 palate and it was free shipping.

DSC_0341.JPG

When it arrived, I was surprised with how small it was, as I thought that the actual pans of concealer would be much larger, but that’s fine, because it was £2.50, so I dealt with it. The colour correcting concealers were the first thing I tried. I have a lot of redness in my face, so I am no stranger to green concealers. The actual product itself is very oily, and not very pigmented at all. I tried the green many many times before, but it is not my favourite. I also tried the flesh-toned concealers, and I really like them. They are super-oily, so defo require a bake, but they are a very good-medium coverage concealer, and I really enjoy using it. Sometimes I use it by itself, but it also works super well on top, or underneath of foundation, so it is super versatile, so I  I definitely do think that I will purchase it again, as it definitely did a good job, and did not break me out. The Most Amazing Peel-Off Mask Ever

I don’t know about you lovely people, but my skin sometimes has great days, and, more often than not, terrible days. But recently, my nose has had what I can only assume to be HUGE open pores on my nose. This made it very difficult whenever I wanted to apply makeup, as It looked horrid and bumpy.

DSC_0324.JPG

This mask is like an all-over rip-off nose mask, and so you’re face feels so clean and polished afterwards. The only ingredients one would need is 1 tbsp. of milk and 1 tbsp. of gelatine. Combine them in a bowl, and microwave it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Stir the mask after it has been heated, so that it is not too hot.

DSC_0327.JPG

Apply all over the face, or just on your problem areas, (i.e. nose and t-zone). Let it set for about 20-30 minutes. Your face will start to become really tight, and it will really lift your entire face. To start peeling it off, wiggle your face around a bit to start peeling it off. Use your fingers to remove the mask (it will come off in little bits), and you will see all the gunk come off with the mask. Wash off the remaining mask with a warm face cloth, and your skin will feel so clean. If you enjoyed this post, please follow my blog and like this post. See you next time!

Testing Super Cheap Makeup

So, as a continuation of this little series, today, I will be reviewing another Primark makeup product.

DSC_0279.JPG

This product is the brow and wax pencil, from Primark beauty’s PS… range. I have dark hair and slightly lightly lighter, so I picked up this shade, as I thought that it would match perfectly. My eyebrows themselves are rather thick, but towards the edges, the hairs become rather sparse and thin. I have to use a large sharpener to sharpen the pencil, but that is not to worry, as Primark sell the prettiest rose gold sharpener I have ever seen in my life. The pencil is extremely pigmented, and so a light touch is definitely necessary unless you like an EXTREMELY strong brow. The pencil is not extremely waxy, but that is fine as the wax on the other end of the pencil is perfectly soft, and really holds your brows in place extremely well. The wax also slightly blends out the colour and this makes the brow look generally a bit softer, as seen in the photo.

DSC_0278.JPG

In conclusion, this product is extremely good, and definitely worth the £1 price tag. Highly pigmented and soft, this is the perfect pencil to create a strong brow. However, the negatives are that the pencil is almost too soft, and and extremely light hand is necessary. Also, because the actual pencil is quite thick, it is relatively difficult to get a defined brow. I hope that this review was somewhat helpful, and if you enjoyed it, please folloew my blog and like this post! See you next time!
